i need to improve my concentration and alertness.

like to do well in school, and reading.
not caffeine, that stuff makes me crazy.

Well, unfortunately, nobody knows what causes ADD or ADHD… and since natural supplements really help to nourish your body and help with whatever deficiency is causing a certain problem, it’s impossible to say “this will cure ADD”. However, there are several natural products that help with brain health and things along that line.

You can try Ginkgo Biloba, Acetyl L-Carnitine, Phosphatidylserine, Fish Oil, Vinpocetine, Huperzine A, Bacopa Monnieri (or Monniera), or Alpha-GPC. Those are the most popular products for memory and brain support that help a LOT of different people.

Aside from pills, you can always do mental exercises, too. Playing games (like the children’s game “Memory”) or using memory tricks (mnemonic devices, etc) can also help to work the pathways in your brain that are responsible for memory or concentration. It may take some time to get it straightened out, but once you do, you will be able to overcome all sorts of things. Good luck!

    Actually many people believe ADD is growing because of the presence of mercury in out environment. Many shots and vaccines have a trace preservative called thimerasol(mercury).     You really should look into changing your diet. Eat less processed foods, etc, eat more nutritious foods like fresh fruit and veggies, whole grains, etc. Drink more water. Fish oil also helps with brain function. Stay away from caffeine. It is a quick fix, but long term, not good. Get more sleep too.
